As seen in this video*, City Councilman Bob Kirk shirked the concerns of a standing-room-only crowd at Keller Town Hall August 15, 2006. Kirk suggested to more than 300 people attending the public hearing (collectively representing Hidden Lakes and other neighborhoods in Keller) that their standards were "too high" and they probably did not vote for him. He later voted against those organized citizens. According to city records,** Councilman Jim Carson moved to approve the permit request to build the convenience store with gas pumps in front and Kirk seconded the motion. Both Kirk and Carson are up for re-election May 10.
